Honnavar: Tara Anant Madguni, a 50-Year-Old woman, who was among the injured in a horrific road accident that had happened between gas tanker and tempo on Saturday on Karki NH-66 in the taluk, breathed her last at a hospital in Manipal.

It shall be recalled that in the accident, five people were killed on the spot, while more than 15 were injured. The injured victims after giving primary treatments at Honnavar were rushed to hospitals in Kundapur, Udupi, and Manipal for advanced treatment. Unable to bear the pains, Tara succumbed to it at Manipal hospital.

By this, the death toll of the accident have increased to a figure of six.

Tara was employed at Kumta government hospital and is survived by two children, as her husband has passed away earlier.
