Honnavar: There have been instances where stones are being place on railway tracks causing trouble in transportation for trains in Honnavar taluk regarding which Railway Protection Force (RPF) Officers have warned college students on 22nd July, Saturday.
The officials visited Nellikeri P U college and inquired about this as they were suspecting that students from the college are doing it as some prank or trick. Mischieves like this could lead to terrible accidents.
Few days ago a case was reported at Kumta railway station where a goods train skipped on a stone and hit a parking shade. On investigation the railway officials had found that the accident was caused due to mischief of the college students.
Some students were questioned for some hours by the officers and then were allowed to go home after warning them of actions if they repeated the act.
