Kumta: Burglars broke into a house located in Koppalkarwadi area in Kumta town on 13th November, Tuesday and decamped with gold ornaments along with cash amount of 2 lakh rupees.

The house belonged to Zareena Shaikh. 

It is reported that the thieves made away with gold ornaments weighing 36 tola and Rs 2 lakh cash from the house after entering into the house by breaking the main door. The incident occurred when the occupants of the house had been to Kollapur with their personal work.

Acting on the tip-off, Kumta police rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation.

A case stands registered in Kumta police station and further investigations are underway.
