Haliyal: Burglars broke into three houses in Haliyal town of Uttara Kannada district on 20th July, Thursday night and decamped with gold ornaments weighing 140 grams and Rs 2.75 lakh.

They made away with gold ornaments weighing 20 grams and Rs 50,000 cash from the house which belong to Pedro Rodriguez, 20 grams of gold and Rs 1.80 lakh from the house belonging to Parashuram and gold ornaments weighing 100 grams and Rs 35,000 from the house of Jnaneshwari Mule in Haliyal town.

A case has been registered at the Haliyal police station.
