Bhatkal: Ismail Imshad Muktesar was elected as the chairman of the standing committee in Bhatkal Town Municipal Council. He had already been nominated for the post with the support of the Socio-political organization Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem. He was elected chairman of the standing committee unopposed in a meeting held at the Municipality on Saturday.

Councilor Fathima Kauser nominated Ismail Imshad for the election of the chairman of the standing committee in meeting chaired by Municipal President Parvez Kasimji at around 11.30 AM.

Abdul  Azeem Mohtesham and Fayyaz Mulla supported the nomination, after which Ismail Imshad Muktesar elected unopposed.
It may be recalled that Ismail Imshad a young social worker, is a councilor of Ward No. 4 comprising Bunder Road, Makhdoom Colony,  Jali Road Hanumanagar and adjoining areas. This is his first term as a councilor in the Municipality.

On his election for the post of chairman of standing committee, Bhatkal TMC councilors congratulated him and expressed best wishes. Bhatkal TMC Vice President Qaisar Mohtisham, TMC CEO Radhika SN and many others were present.
