Karwar: The Special Land Acquisition Officer Mr. Basavaraj who was dismissed from his duty by the Karwar DC alleging negligence in his duties has said that the Karwar DC hold no right to do this.

In a detailed note sent to MLA Mankal Vaidya by Mr Bavaraj, he has claimed that the deputy commissioner has no right to dismiss any KAS officer from his post. He has also said that the allegations made against him were untrue and the DC has done this in order to provide benefit to certain people by appointing his desired person on the post.

The special officer claimed that the Project Director of Natioal Highway authority of India has the right to investigate and prepare a report regarding the same. And any such action against him may be taken only after following of rules.

He has made it clear in his letter that the right of ousting him from his duty is not with the Karwar DC.
