Karwar: To attract more companies to the Karwar Udyogamela scheduled to be held on November 12 and 13, the state government has planned to hold road shows in Bengaluru, Pune and Goa, said District Minister R V Deshpande.
Reviewing the preparations for the mela at the DC’s office here on Saturday, he said: “We have already contacted several companies and invited them to participate in the mela. As of now, 15 firms and 1,025 job aspirants have registered in the mela website.”
To give more publicity to the mela, officials were asked to make use of social media and multimedia, he said.
“A training programme for the registered aspirants should be held in the first week of November,” he said.
ZP president Jayashree Moger, MLAs Satish Sail and Mankalu Vaidya, Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul and Udyogamela nodal officer Sadashiv Prabhu were present.
