Karwar: The Uttara Kannada district administration will observe National Voters’ Day on January 25 at 10 a.m. in the Deputy Commissioner’s office conference hall. The programme will be inaugurated by Second Additional District and Sessions Judge Mayanna B.L., while Deputy Commissioner Ms K. Lakshmi Priya will preside over the event. A district-level Kayak Sharan Jayanti programme will also be held on February 10.

It has been informed that District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr Dilish Shashi, Superintendent of Police Deepan M.N., Additional Deputy Commissioner Sajid Mulla, Sub-Divisional Officer P. Shravan Kumar and other officials will participate in the January 25 programme.

In this connection, during a meeting held at the DC office hall, voters were administered the pledge as part of National Voters’ Day observance, while the programme outline for the February 10 district-level Kayak Sharan Jayanti celebrations was finalised and arrangements were discussed.

Deputy Commissioner Ms K. Lakshmi Priya, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sajid Mulla, Sub-Divisional Officer P. Shravan Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
