Bhatkal: Viqar-e-Islamia and Viqar-e-Anjuman, the two most prestigious medals awarded for academic excellence in Anjuman schools, were presented by Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen to two young students in the Annual Social Gathering at the Anjuman Ground Bhatkal on Wednesday, 9 January, 2019. 

The Viqar-e-Islamia medal was awarded to Khubaib Ahmed Akrami s/o Moulana Khaja Mohinuddin Akrami Madni, a student of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS), while the Viqar-e-Anjuman medal, was awarded to Saquib Ahmed S/o Abdul Razzak, student of Anjuman Boys High School (ABHS). The awards are given to the best performing student in curricular and extra curricular activities. 

Chief guest of the function, Basavaraj Horatti, Ex- Minister for Primary and Secondary Education & Ex- Chairman, Karnataka Legislative Council) and Guest of Honour, Mohammed Roshan, IAS, CEO Zilla Panchayat, Uttara Kannada spoke on importance of education.

Abdul Rahim Jukaku, president of Anjuman Hami -e- Muslimeen presided over the function.

The program commenced with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by Mohammed Shuaib followed by Naat, sung by Shuraique Ahmed, School Anthem was sung by Musharaff Muhiddin and party. Headmasters of IAUHS and ABHS, Shabbir Ahmed Dafedar, and Abdullah Ruknuddin presented their School’s annual report. School Board Secretary of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Abdul Wajid Kola welcomed the guests and Vote of Thanks was given by school teacher Abdul Hafeez Miftahi.

Noor Mohammed and Jameel Sharief announced the prizes to students who excelled in cultural, sports and other curricular and extra-curricualr activities, who were also handed over their awards. 

Chief Qazi Markazi Khaleefa Jamaatul Muslimeen Moulana Khaja Moinuddin Akrami Madni, Bhatkal BEO Mr. Munji, Anjuman General Secretary Ismail Siddique, College Board Secretary Mohsin Shanbandri, Works Board secreatry Parvez SM and many others were present on the dais.
