Kumta: Bengaluru based tourist lost his life after he drowned in Arabian sea at Gokarna in Kumta taluk on Wednesday, 26th December.

The deceased is identified as Shashikumar.

It is said that Shashikumar had been to Gokarna for picnic and had stayed in Adventure resort near here. He drowned in the sea which is located opposite to the resort when he had been for a swim in the evening hours.

The body was later recovered and was sent for post mortem.

A case stands registered in Gokarna police station.
