Kumta: An awareness program on child trafficking was held at Ideal High School in Kumta on 26th September, Tuesday, under the aegis of Kumta Taluk Legal Service committee, Lawyer's Association and Ideal Education Trust.

MD Rafiq, a lawyer, spoke on the awareness of child trafficking and highlighted some of the important points the people should keep in mind.

Various personalities present on the occasion also addressed the gathering and made people aware about child trafficking.

The program was inaugurated by senior civil judge Poornima N Pai, while the president of lawyer's association Ashok Naik presided the gathering.

On the occasion Vice-president of Ideal education trust Ibrahim Y Saheb, Kumta JamatUl Muslimeen president Muhammad Shafi Shaikh, former president of Ideal education trust Basti Abdul Malik, Manjunath Naik, Muzaffar Shaikh and Abdullah Shaikh were present on the dais.

Students and locals attended the program.
