Kumta: An Industrialist, Yashodar Naik along with his supporters joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a party program held at Manki ground here at Kumta. The former chief minister of Karnataka Jagdish Shettar and other party leaders were present on the occasion.

Jagdish Shettar, after inaugurating the program, welcomed Yashodar Naik into the BJP by handing a party flag. Addressing the gathering, Jagdish Shettar criticized the Congress led state government. He said that in the upcoming elections, if BJP comes to rule in the state, Siddaramiah will be sent to jail.

In the program film actor Tara Anuradha, MP Anantkumar Hegde, Sirsi MLA Vishveshwarayya Hegde Kageri, Ex. MLA M P Karki, Dinakar Shetty, JD Naik amongst many others were present.
