Kumta, dhns: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths raided the office of the sub-registrar at Kumta on Friday and seized Rs 36,630 unaccounted money found in the office.

DySP Girish S V said that a woman staff member at the office had Rs 10,000 in her purse. An agent R M Naik, who manages document work had Rs 23,000 with him. Sub-registrar Shivanand Patil had Rs 2,000. Officers, before keeping the money with them have to record about it in the register. The raid was conducted suo motu.

Sub-registrar Shivanand Patil also confirmed about the raid by the ACB sleuths.
