Yellapur: One person was killed on the spot, while more than fifteen people were reported injured in a bus and truck collision that happened today morning on Arabail ghat section in Yellapur of Uttar-Kannada district. 

Sources informed that the accident took place when the bus belonging to KSRTC was heading towards Karwar from Yellapur, while the truck was in the opposite direction.

The deceased is a truck driver, whose identification is yet to be done. The police rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigations.

The injured passengers of the bus were immediately rushed to Yellapur government hospital.
