Bhatkal: In an road accident, which reported here at Venkatapur National Highway, where a truck went on hitting a scooter, killing the rider on the spot. The incident happened on 21st July, Friday.
The deceased was identified as Vasanth Nagappa Moger (45).
According to sources, there was a traffic jam on National Highway after the accident, but the road was soon cleared by the rural police and the dead body was shifted to the Bhatkal Government Hospital.
A case has been registered at the Bhatkal Rural police station.
