Bhatkal: Rayyan’s  unbeaten fifty went in vain as SYWA registered a narrow eight-run victory to win Madeena T20 League Match at Kola Ground here on Saturday.

Coastal Kings finished eight runs short of massive 154-run target as they managed 145/5 in their 20 overs to suffer defeat.

Chasing a huge target, Coastal Kings needed their dynamic trio – Shakeel, Jaffaer and Shakeel Nanne - to click in unison but it was only partially fulfilled in the end. Rayyan was in his elements as he smacked three sixes and six boundaries for his 64, off 33 balls.

Later, Coastal kings loses wickets at regular intervals in the latter stage leave them short.

For SYWA, Umesh  34, Subresh 28 and Sulaiman 23 scored runs and produced a match-winning all-round show to guide them to a famous win.

Coastal Kings then lost four more wickets as their chase was hampered by Sawood (28/2) who produced brilliant death-over spells.
