Bhatkal: A collective effort helped Al-Wafa Murdeshwar climb to qualify for second round with a thrilling five-wicket win over YMSA in their League match of Madeena T20 Cup at Kola Ground, Bhatkal today.

Inspired by Madani’s 21/3 and Arshad 20/2, Al-Wafa Murdeshwar bundled out YMSA for 142.

Living up to the challenge, Al-Wafa Murdeshwar batsmen put up a brave front as Tufail (37), Affan (23) and Mehboob raza (29) steered the chase.

Earlier, Marwan Shanu batted superbly a knock of 47 runs and led the team to reach a modest total of 142 for nine.

Al-Wafa chased down the target in 16.2 overs and won by 5 wickets.
