Kumta: A person who was caught red-handed by Kumta police here at Katgal in the taluka​, when he was illegally trafficking the liquor materials on 4th August, Friday.

The culprit is identified as Jattu Manjunath Gouda (32), a resident of Bellangi of Kumta taluk.

Sources informed that he was carrying different brands of alcohol bottles of 90ml, 180ml, 500ml, 330ml and other small tins of beers.

The total estimation of the seized liquor is around 6,500 rupees. The bike in which he was traveling has also been seized. 

A case has been registered in Kumta police station and further investigations are carried on.
