Kumta: A dispute over land property between father-son duo gave an ugly turn, after the son was injured seriously due to the assault by his own father at Yettinabail village in Kumta taluk on Friday.

The injured is identified as Shivanand Deshbhandari and his accused father is Harihara Deshbhandari.

It is reported that the accused assaulted his son in a way that he sustained severe injuries over his head and is getting treated at Kumta government hospital.

Police have arrested the accused.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
