Kumta: A 26-year-old man, who was carrying leopard pelt and its teeth, was arrested by forest officials here recently.

The accused was identified as Kamalesh Eshwar Naik of Kallabbeya Hebalemane in Kumta taluk.

He was caught by the forest department staff near the industrial area in Kumta in the early morning.

The accused was sent to judicial custody.
