Kumta: In a bizarre incident, a man ended his life after commiting suicide by hanging himself to the top of the coconut tree. The incident happened today on 30th August, Thursday here at Baada region in the taluk.

The victim is identified as Ravi Yashwanth Haller, a resident of Hiregutti village of Kumta taluk.

It is reported that the victim committed suicide when he had been to one of his relatives house in Baada. The reason behind taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

A case stands registered in Kumta police station.
