Udupi: A 40-year-old man died after he drowned at Kaje Falls in Mala village in Karkala of Udupi district on Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Rajesh, a resident of Mannagudde in Mangaluru. 

It is informed that Rajesh along with eleven of his friends had visited the falls. The tragedy took place when he got into water to take bath. Although Rajesh’s friends tried, they couldn’t save him.

A case has been registered in Karkala rural police station.
