Udupi: A Shivamogga based pilgrim who had been to Krishna mutt in Udupi, went missing after he met a watery grave at the Madhwa Sarovar on Monday.

According to sources, the man has been identified as Adarsha, aged 39.

It is said that a devotee who was performing a ritual in the lake was the last person to see Adarsha stepping into the lake. When he did not emerge from the waters, the devotee informed the Mutt authorities. The victim’s family members, when contacted, told the police that Adarsha was mentally ill and was suffering from fits.

A case was registered in Udupi police station.
