Udupi: The district and sessions court has sentenced a man for 10 years of rigorous imprisonment  who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a differently abled minor child. The court has also slapped a fine of Rs 35,000 on the man.

It shall be recalled that convict Ganesh Poojary had sexually assaulted a differently abled minor on July 14, 2016. He had also threatened her against disclosing the incident to anyone.

As many as 24 witnesses deposed in the cage. Magistrate Venkatesh Naik has ordered to compensate the victim with Rs 25,000.
