Kumta: A man was killed on the spot after his motorcycle collided head-on with a container lorry near the LIC office in Kumta on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Vivek Shetty, 45. According to sources, Shetty sustained severe injuries in the collision and died at the spot due to the impact.
On receiving information about the accident, police rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection.
A case has been registered at the Kumta Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
