Mangaluru: A woman was stabbed to death by a man for rejecting his love proposal and later committed suicide by hanging himself to death, at her house in Prantya in Moodbidri, on Friday.

According to sources, Lohith (26), a resident of Bajal, was in love with Charishma R Karkera (22) from Moodbidri. But Charishma had turned down his love proposal.

On Friday at about 11 am, Lohith visited the house of Charishma and stabbed her. The neighhours on hearing her cry rushed her to a hospital, where she later succumbed. Accused Lohith too committed suicide by hanging in the same house.
