Mangaluru: According to the sources, around 72 out of the 98 PFI activists, who were arrested during lathi charge were released on station bail.

The PFI activists were arrested by the police following the lathi charge incident when the activists tried to lay siege to the city police commissioner's office.

With regard to the above incident, 98 PFI activists were arrested for pelting stones and manhandling police personnel on 4^th April, Tuesday.

Around 72 of the arrested personnel were released whereas the rest of 26 members are facing serious charges and have been remanded in judicial custody.
