Bengaluru based pilgrim drowns in Dharmasthala

Mangaluru: In a sad incident, a Bengaluru based person who had come to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on a pilgrimage, was drowned at the bathing ghat of the Sri Kshetra on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Bharat, a resident of Dasarahalli 5th Cross, Sawmill Road in Bengaluru. He had come to Dharmasthala along with his relative, Kumar.

Temple sources stated that while talking bath Bharat lost his balance on the bathing ghat and fell in to the Nethravathi River. His body is yet to be found.

A case has been registered in Dharmasthala police station.
