Mangaluru: Two persons including a PFI leader have been arrested in connection to RSS worker Sharath Madivala’s murder case after one month’s investigation on 14th August, Monday.
The arrested accused are Abdul Shafi (36), from Haladi Sajipa, Bantwal and Kalil Ulla (30), PFI president from Chamrajnagar.
Addressing the media persons in a press meet held at the HIP office here on 15th August, IGP Harishekaran said that the special team formed to investigate this case worked day and night to crack this case.
“The special investigation team consisted of thirty members who worked under 7 officers, namely ACP Valentine D'Souza, DCIB inspector Sunil Naik, Puttur inspector Mahesh Prasad, Beltangady inspector Ravi and DCIB inspector Amanullah. To crack this case, officers worked day and night. Because of their hard work we have positive results in this case”, he added.
IFP said that there are four or five other accused involved in the case and we have tracked them down. They too will be arrested soon. There are two conspirators who helped the accused in arranging the vehicle and helping them escape.
He also stated, “A suitable reward will be given to the investigating team and also a special entry will be made in their service record. In my tenure, I am rewarding them Rs 25,000 cash.”
