Mangaluru: Woman arrested for selling fake power bank resembling the one found at MIA

Mangaluru: A woman was arrested by the Bunder police on 22nd September, Friday on charge of selling fake power banks.

The arrested accused has been identified as Parvathi Bai (50 yrs), a native of Maharashtra.

According to the sources, the power banks sold by the woman resembles the one which was earlier found with a Dubai bound passenger and Padil resident Muhammed Mansoor at MIA on Tuesday. The power bank was mistaken as a cellular bomb.

After detailed investigations, it was revealed that the power bank was fake. It is gathered that such power banks are being manufactured in Maharashtra.

Police are investigating on the network of fake power bank sale.
