Mangaluru: A labourer was killed while four others sustained injuries in a collision between an autorickshaw and a jeep on Keyyur-Nettala Road in Poyyole on Saturday.

The deceased labourer was identified as Praveen (32) from Derla. The injured passengers were identified as Guruprasad, Leelavathi, Harshith and Lakshmi.

The autorickshaw was ferrying passengers from Nettala to Madav and the jeep was driven by Chandrashekar Poojary. The auto driver Giridhar escaped unhurt. The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at different hospitals, stated police sources.
