Mangaluru: The Sampya Police arrested a man for allegedly sexually harassing a minor boy, after taking him to a forest area.

The arrested is Srijith (27), a resident of Nekraje in Kasargod taluk.

When the boy was on his way to his grandmother’s place on April 21, the accused approached him and introduced himself as if he knew the boy's father.

Later, he took him on his bike to a forest area nearby. He allegedly issued threats to him using a knife and sexually harassed him.

A case under the Pocso Act was registered at Sampya Police Station following a complaint by the victim’s father.
