Markaz Al-Nawayath Abu Dhabi elects new executive body during annual general meeting

Abu Dhabi: The annual meeting of Markaz Al-Nawayath Abu Dhabi, an organization representing Bhatkali residents living in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas, was recently held, during which elections were conducted to select 14 new executive members. The information was shared via a WhatsApp message by an active member of the organization, Mr. Muhibullah Siddiahmeda.

According to his press release, issued on behalf of Markaz, the annual gathering and electoral process took place on February 8, 2025, from 8 PM to 10 PM at a restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The event witnessed significant participation from community members, who democratically elected the new executive body. To ensure transparency and efficiency, modern software was used, making the voting process fair and well-organized.

The following members were elected for the new executive body: Syed Sameer Shirbadi, Muhibullah Siddiahmeda, Aftab M.J., Ghazali Askari, Ashraf Ali Musba, Masab Musba, Dr. Hamid Siddiq, Fuzail Musba, S.M. Syed Abdur Rauf, Hurais Shabandari, Ayman Khalifa, Parvez Gawai, Saleh Ali Akbara, and S.M. Syed Mudassir.

Additionally, to maintain continuity and transparency in the electoral process, three former executive members were retained: Atif Udyawar, Jihad Damda, and Dawood Musba.

Furthermore, Maulana Nauman Jukaku and Izhar Siddiq were also included in the executives for the Al-Ain region.

Annual General Meeting Highlights:

The annual general meeting, or Salana Ijlaas, commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Abdul Qudus Motiya, followed by a Naat presented by Maulana Abu Muhammed Safwan Siddiahmeda.

The General Secretary, Aftab M.J., presented the annual report, highlighting the organization's activities, achievements, and services over the past year. Treasurer Sameer Shirbadi presented the financial report.

Umar Farooq Musba, the Patron of Markaz Al-Nawayath Abu Dhabi who is also the President of Bhatkal Muslim Khaleej Council (BMKC), appreciated the organization's efforts. Ashraf Ali Musba, in his presidential address, emphasized the significance of the organization and urged members to stay connected with it. Another patron, Jaffar Damda, also addressed the audience and shared his insights.

The event was skillfully moderated by Fuzail Musba, who guided the participants through the different segments of the program.

The program concluded with a brief yet impactful speech and a concluding prayer by Maulana Nauman Jukaku.
