Bhatkal: After the sighting of the new moon in Bhatkal today after Magrib prayers, the Qazis Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Mulla Nadvi and Maulana Khwaja Akrami Madani officially declared that Eid Ul Fitr will be celebrated on 25th June 2017, on Sunday. 

Following the declaration, the Jamatul Muslimeen committees of neighbouring regions including Kumta, Kundapur, Udupi and Mangalore have also announced the celebration of Eid ul Fitr on 25th June, Sunday.

As per the reports from Dubai, the new moon was also sighted in Saudi Arabia resulting in the declaration of Eid ul Fitr there as well as Dubai. 

This means that the Eid in Bhatkal, including several parts of coastal Karnataka has concided with Eid in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
