Bhatkal: Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm

Bhatkal: Bhatkal and its surrounding areas like Honnavar, Kumta,  Ankola, Byndoor, Kundapur, Udupi and Mangaluru celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with religious gaiety and fervour on Wednesday. Due to the onset of monsoons, the congregational Eid prayers were offered at the Jamia Masjid instead of Eidgah.

In Bhatkal, thousands of people flocked to join the biggest Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at Jamia Majid. Maulana Abdul Aleem Khateeb Nadwi delivered an excellent speech about the role of parents in shaping their kid's behaviour.

In his speech, he spoke about how today's generation is not raised by the parents but by the external negative influences like mass media etc. Elucidating further, he said how the mobile, films, TV and internet has demoralised the kids of today and the immoral behaviour of the kids due to the lack of parental discipline. He explained the pivotal role parents play in nurturing their offspring's manners.. He said, "In the past, people flocked to Islam because of our ancestors' conduct and their characters but and in current times, everyone is distancing from us because of our immoral attitude." He rhetorically questioned that how can parents expect their kids to stop watching television when they're glued to the television most of the times. He called out to the parents to reshape their children's attitudes according to the teachings of our Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) and his revered companions. He also preached about integrity and unity among muslim brotherhood. 

Maulana Khwaja Muinuddin Akrami Madani lead the prayers at Khalifa of Jamia Masjid. In his speech, he emphasized about the duties and responsibilities endowed upon every individuals by Allah and every person should fulfil the moral obligations and also stressed about the Halal sustenance. He spoke about the topic of  'segregation of sexes in Islam'.

Maulana Ansar Khatib Madni led the Eid prayers at Nawayath Colony Tanzeem Jamia Masjid whereas Mاulana Zakariya Barmawar Nadvi led the Eid prayers at Madeena Jumma Masjid, Maulana Niamatullah Askeri Nadvi led the prayers at Makhdoomia Jumma Masjid while Maulana Ameen Ruknuddin Nadvi led the prayers at the Noor Masjid. The prayers at Masjid Bilal Mughlihonda was led by Maulana Munawwar Peshmam. 

More than 50 types of breakfast were served soon after the prayer at the residenc of Jamatul Muslimeen general secretary Abdul Rahman Jan. Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Chidanand Vatare, Tahsildar V N Baadkar among other officials attended the program

In view of Eid celebrations, social organisation Majlis-e-Islah-wa-Tanzeem distributed fruits and bread to the patients admitted at the Bhatkal government hospital. General secretary Muhiddin Altaf Kharuri and various other leaders were present.

Meanwhile, in Kumta, Maulana Mannatullah Qasmi led the Eid prayers at Kumta Jumma Masjid. An association named Young Muslim friends distributed fruits and other edible stuff to the patients admitted at Kumta government hospital.
