Mundgod: An accidental fire erupted at a house in Salgau panchayat limits in the taluk, in which the fire turned household goods including gold ornaments and cash amount into ashes that were kept in the house.

It is suspected that the fire might have spread in the house after coming in contact with the Lamp that was kept in 'Pooja' room in the house. The estimated loss in the incident is above ten lakh rupees.

No casualties have reported in the incident as the occupants of the house were out at the time of incident. The wooden roof of the house was also burnt. 

Firefighters, on receiving information rushed to the spot.
