Bhatkal: A kid fell critically ill after he drank a chemical solution mistaking it as a 'prasad' at Parvathi temple at Murdeshwar.

The victim has been identified as Charan Lakshmi Naik(4), a resident of Chandrahetal in Murdeshwar. 

It is said that the child along with his parents had visited Parvati temple. The kid while wandering came across the locker where the chemical solution to clean the silver door of the temple was kept. Thinking it as a dessert, he gulped down the liquid solution. 

After swallowing the substance, he fell severely ill and was immediately rushed to a hospital for first-aid and then shifted to Manipal for further treatment.
