Bhatkal: As a part of the Lions club's 'Lions Rice Bag Challenge' program, the rice bags and other eatables were distributed among the homeless and needy people here in Murdeshwar. The program was conducted under the guidance of the club's president Nagaraj Bhat.

The program was conducted on the occasion of birth anniversary of the club's international founder Melvin John. Members of the club visited the homeless people in the village and distributed around 100 kg of rice, 25 kg Dal, 20 kg of honey, and 20 kg of vegetables.

On this occasion members of Lions club of Belmani, Mangaluru and  Murdeshwar Club members including secretary Nagaraj Madiwal,  treasurer Jagdish Jain, Girish Kochnad, and others were present.
