Bhatkal: With the end of the monsoon season, tourist inflow to the popular coastal destination of Murdeshwar has surged once again. Many visitors from outside the region, excited by the sight of the enchanting sea waves, often enter the water without caution and end up becoming victims of drowning incidents. Considering these concerns, the Murdeshwar Police organized a special awareness drive for school students visiting the beach as part of their study tour.
According to sources, the Murdeshwar Police gathered dozens of schoolchildren at the beach and briefed them on various safety aspects, including sudden high waves, dangerous sea currents, and the potential consequences of entering the water without proper precaution.

Police personnel explained to the students how taking selfies too close to the water can be extremely risky and how venturing beyond the designated safe zones in the sea can lead to life-threatening situations. The students were also informed about the importance of following lifeguard instructions and using emergency helpline numbers when needed.
The Murdeshwar Police also appealed to the public and tourists to strictly adhere to safety guidelines while enjoying the beauty of the beach, emphasizing that even a moment of negligence can result in major accidents.
