Mangaluru: J.T. Radhakrishna, director of Mangaluru International Airport has announced that another daily flight from Mangaluru to Dubai will be introduced by the SpiceJet from October 30. 

It will be the fourth daily flight between the two cities, It will depart Mangaluru daily at 12.20 a.m. The flight will arrive here at 6.15 p.m. on five days. On Mondays and Saturdays, it will arrive at 8.30 a.m. The private carrier has already begun the booking, he said.

Owing to the increasing passenger movement at the airport, especially in the morning.It is reported that 800 passengers depart daily and as a result passenger congestion is experienced in the security check area and terminal building. As many as 6 flights, three international and three domestic, depart between 7.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m.

The airport now handles 15 daily domestic flights with 30 operations. When the new flight services becomes operational the airport here would have eight daily flights with 16 operations in the international sector for different West Asian destinations, he said.
