Mangaluru: The South Western Railway has announced diversion of Train Number 16515/516 Yeshwantpur-Karwar-Yeshwantpur tri-weekly Express via Nelamangala and Shravanabelagola instead of Tumakuru and Arsikere, with effect from June 2 from Yeshwantpur and June 3 from Karwar.
However, there is no change in the existing train composition and days of service.
Instead of the existing 7 am departure, the train will depart Yeshwantpur at 7.10 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to reach Mangaluru Junction at 5.40 pm.
Enroute, the train arrives/departs Chikkabanavara at 7.20/7.21 am, Nelamangala at 7.38/7.39 am, Kunigal at 8.24/8.25 am, Yediyur at 8.38/8.39 am, BG Nagar at 8.55/8.56 am, Shravanabelagola at 9.29/9.30 am, Channarayapatna at 9.40/9.41 am, Hassan at 10.30/10.35 am, Sakleshpur at 11.35/11.40 am, Subrahmanya Road at 2.25/2.30 pm, Kabaka Puttur at 3.18/3.20 pm and Bantwal at 3.50/3.52 pm.
In the return direction, the train leaves Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays instead of the existing 11 am to reach Yeshwantpur at 8.30 pm. It arrives/departs Bantwal at 11.56/11.58 am, Kabaka Puttur at 12.20/12.22 pm, Subrahmanya Road at 1/1.05 pm, Sakleshpur at 3.40/3.45 pm, Hassan at 4.45/4.50 pm, Channarayapatna at 5.24/5.25 pm, Shravanabelagola at 5.34/5.35 pm, BG Nagar at 6.09/6.10 pm, Yediyur at 6.29/6.30 pm, Kunigal at 6.54/6.55 pm, Nelamangala at 7.39/7.40 pm and Chikkabanavara at 7.59/8 pm.
Gomateshwara Express
The South Western Railway has also revised the timings of Train Number 16575 Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction tri-weekly Gomateshwara Express.
Train Number 16575, which used to leave Yeshwantpur at 7.50 am on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, will now leave at 7.10 am from June 1 to reach Mangaluru Junction at 5.30 pm.
There is no change in the timing of Train Number 16576, which leaves Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 am and reaches Yeshwantpur at 8.30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from June 2.
