Ajman: On a sluggish Ajman pitch, the Ruknuddin Brothers Warriors handed Galaxy Titans their first loss of NGT BPL 2022 at Ajman here on Sunday.

Put in to bat first by RB Warriors Abdus Salam Ruknuddin, Galaxy Titans all-out at 111 in 19.1 overs and while chasing the RB Warriors huffed and puffed but ultimately got over the line with three wickets and 11 balls to spare.

Such was the slow nature of the track that none of the batters could hit a maximum in their innings.

For Galaxy Titans Only Irshad (26 off 28 balls) could cross the 30-run mark. For RB warriors, the pick of the bowlers was Abdul Hameed Gawai (23/4), who bowled with guile and full of variations, and Mohammed Ali (16/2)and Jafer Tousif (17/2) bagged two wickets each .

The RB Warriors almost made a mess of the chase as at one stage they were toiling at 4/24 in the 7th over.

Galaxy Titans' bowlers were once again putting their team in contention for an unlikely win. But it was the 17th over which completely changed the complexion of the game when Zakir hits three consecutives fours of Syed Jasem.

Zakir (41 off 40 balls)  and Mohammed Ali (20 off 23 balls ) chased down the target by stitching 51 runs for the fifith wicket.

For Galaxy Titans, Asjad and Syed Jasem bagged two wickets each. Zakir Ruknuddin was awarded Player of the match.

Brief scores:
Galaxy Titans 111/10 in 19.1 overs (Irshad 36, Abdul Hameed 23/4, Mohammed Ali 16/2, Jafer Tousif 17/2) lost to RB warriors 112/7 in 18.1 overs (Zakir 41, Mohammed Ali 20, Asjad 12/3, Syed Jasem 32/2).
