Karwar: The executive members meet of North Kanara Muslim United Forum was held at the Urdu Welfare Trust office in Karwar on 5th November, Saturday in the morning around 11am.
The meet began with the welcome speech by the forum's general secretary Muhammad Mohsin Quazi, while Imtiyaz Umar Shaikh handled the presidency of the meet.
A decision from forum was stepped up for arranging individual awareness programs related to Muslim personal laws in each of the taluks of Uttar Kannada at different dates within 16th of November, where the well-known community speakers will be addressing the program.
The discussions related to the rising issue of uniform civil code were discussed and the decision was passed accepting that the forum will always be ready for any kind of campaigns and protests that will be led through 'All India Muslim Personal Law Board'. Every member kept his personal suggestion and opinion during the meet. Also, the matter of organizing orientation programs for the students was the desk mark in the meeting.
Meanwhile, a well-known social personality, Mr. Nazeer Ahmed Shaikh, was also felicitated by North Kanara Muslim United Forum for his splendid achievement of gaining an Rajyotsava award.
Mr. Imtiyaz Umar Shaikh, president of North Kanara Muslim United Forum, stressed upon the members to focus on building up strong unity among the community, and also to be ready for any kind of help required for the community developmental activities.
An executive member, Maulana Muhammad Hussain Gaima, spoke in the meeting enlightening and creating awareness related Muslim personal laws and the role of every Muslim to defend the Muslim personal laws.
On the occasion, Abusaleha Mulla Kumta, Basti Abdul Malik Saheb, Dr. Haneef Shabab Bhatkal, Usman Saheb Haliyal, Jaffar Saheb, Ali Janab, Mohd Akbar Mulla, Amjad Shaikh and many others witnessed the meet.
