Mangaluru: Drivers attached to Ola rejoiced the start of app-based cab services at Mangalore International Airport.

“It is a victory for app-based cab aggregator drivers, who were finding it difficult to pick up passengers from the airport for the past three year. The move to commence an online taxi service at MIA online taxi service at MIA was taken following directions form the Supreme Court. For the safety of passengers, the SC has directed that the app-based taxi service needs to be started at all international airports. The airport authorities in Mangaluru have invited tenders from app-based aggregator providers, and the contract was given to Ola for the next three years form November 19, 2018,” said Dakshina Kannada District Online Taxi Drivers and Owners Association honorary president B K Imthiyaz.
