Ankola: A prisoner, who was answering nature’s call in a toilet, escaped from the police in Ankola recently.

The escaped prisoner has been identified as Raju Ravi Kallavaddar (22) of Chukkalgeri in Gadag district.

Raju has been an accused in several cases and on January 4, the police were taking him to Mangaluru court in a bus.

While being taken in the bus, he asked the police to allow him to answer nature’s call at Ankola bus stand.

“He entered the toilet but managed to escape through the windows”, police said.
