Karwar: The dharna launched by postal account holders under the aegis of Grahakara Hitharakshana Samithi against the alleged fraud in the Baithkhol sub-post office entered the second day on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the protesters tied black cloth to their eyes to express their ire at the protest site in front of the main post office in Karwar. They raised slogans against the postal officials and said that they would not give up their protest until justice was delivered.

"The process of investigation of the complaint lodged against postal officials must be intensified. Cases must be filed against higher officials of the postal department and the culprits must be brought to books", urged social worker Wilson Fernandes who insisted that the higher officials of the department must understand the problems of the people and resolve it. He also said that they must give a written statement assuring solution for the problem.

Leaders Siddavva Talwar, Nagesh Talwat, Ranju Vaddar, Neela Durgekar, Shanti harikantra and others led the protest.
