Kundapur: A 13-year-old girl took her own life by jumping into a well near her residence in Katkere on Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as Rishika, a seventh standard student who had been grappling with depression and was undergoing treatment for the condition.

 The heart-wrenching incident occurred shortly after Rishika returned home from school. 

Kundapur police have registered a case.
