Bagalkote's Ankita Basappa Tops Karnataka SSLC Exam with Perfect 625 marks, Aspires to Become an IAS Officer

Bengaluru: The results for the SSLC Exams 2023-24 (SSLC Results 2024) were declared on Thursday, with an overall pass percentage of 73.40% across the state. Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board Chairperson Manjushree and Director Gopalkrishna held a press conference to announce the results. Manjushree also mentioned that result details would be sent via SMS to the registered mobile numbers of the students.

Ankita Basappa, hailing from Melligeri in Mudhola Taluk, Bagalkote District, emerged as the topper of the state with a perfect score of 625 out of 625 marks. She is a student of Morarji Residential School.

The standout student, Ankita Basappa from Melligeri Morarji Residential School in Bagalkote, scored an impeccable 625 out of 625, clinching the first place to become Karnataka SSLC Topper. Following closely were seven students who tied for the second position.

Ankita's remarkable achievement underscored another year where female students outperformed their male counterparts, continuing a trend of educational excellence among girls in the state. Ankita Basappa, who topped the SSLC exams, aspires to become an IAS officer.

Apart from Ankita, seven students scored 624 marks, securing the second position in the state. Fourteen students scored 623 marks, securing the third position, followed by 21 students with 622 marks in the fourth position. Additionally, 44 students scored 621 marks, placing fifth, and 64 students scored 620 marks, securing the sixth position in the state.

The SSLC Exam Results can also be viewed at https://karresults.nic.in. This year, a total of 8,59,967 students appeared for the SSLC exam, out of which 6,31,204 students passed. Once again, girls have outperformed boys in the SSLC examination. Among the candidates, there were 4,41,910 male students and 4,28,058 female students who appeared for the exam.

Additionally, there were 18,225 private students, 41,375 repeat students, and 5,424 differently-abled students who took the exam across 2,750 examination centers in Karnataka.
