Mangaluru: CPI(M) leader BM Bhatt has urged the government to promptly take action against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhatt, who made highly derogatory remarks against Indian women. He made this demand while addressing a protest organized in front of Beltangady Mini Vidhana Soudha under the leadership of the CPIM party and other organizations, condemning Kallad Prabhakar Bhatt's statements.
The protestors submitted a petition to the government through the tehsildar, demanding swift action against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhatt.
Bhatt asserted that Kallada Prabhakar Bhatt has exemplified the RSS culture through his anti-women statement, accusing the RSS of promoting an anti-women policy. He called for an immediate ban on the organization, emphasizing that Indian culture traditionally respects women, unlike the alleged anti-women culture within the RSS.
Ishwari, Secretary of the Dalit Rights Coordination Committee, expressed disappointment that the government has not taken any action despite the fact that individuals, who ignore minorities, Dalits, and women, continue to make anti-women statements.
Jayaram Maya, Jayashree, Kumari, Sanjeevanayaka, Sujatha, Pushpa and many others were present.
