Bhatkal: District Incharge Minister, Mankal Vaidya, inaugurated the fund dedication program held at Shri Nagayakshi Sabhabhavan on Saturday evening, organized under the auspices of the Bhatkal Journalists' Welfare Fund Association to support those who have dedicated themselves to journalism.
During his address, Minister Vaidya highlighted the significant role journalists play in building a better society. He emphasized that journalists not only address people's concerns but also work tirelessly to expose wrongdoing by individuals and politicians. He expressed optimism that the dedication to the journalists' fund would become an annual tradition.
Raghavendra Hebbar, the president of the Bhatkal Journalists' Welfare Association, presided over the program. The General Secretary, Manmohan Naik, extended a warm welcome, Radhakrishna Bhat, the honorary president of the association, provided an introduction, and Treasurer Mohan Naik delivered the vote of thanks.
Dharmadarshi Ramdasa Prabhu of Sri Nagayaksha Dharmasanthana, Vice Presidents of the association Vishnu Devadiga and Raza Manvi, were present on the dais. The program concluded with musical entertainment and a cultural program organized by Zenkara Melodies.
